21st at NACC 2009
Not this past weekend but the weekend before, I placed 21st at the North American Continental Championship out at GenCon in Indianapolis.
First of all, GenCon was simply amazing. It was a total blast and I'm very glad I went.
Second of all, I came home with some pretty sick prizes. I've got an iPod Touch and a PS3 that I picked up through prizes/negotiations over the weekend, plus two uncut sheets of cards (which I think I'll frame and put on the wall).
Since hooking up the PS3 this last weekend, I bought and have (extensively) played Assassin's Creed; it's a game about a Hashshasheen (Shia Muslim sect known for assassins) who assassinates people in the Holy Land during the Third Crusade (that's the one with Richard Coeur-de-lion, for those of you keeping track). It came out a while ago but I'm still impressed by the graphics of the PS3 combined with the HDTV I bought at Best Buy with the $100 gift card from Boston.
All in all, I've got my hands full with my new toys, and I still need to do a LOT of preparation work for the World Championships!
